Make a Fanpage like the one you are currently viewing.

Do blogs and giveaways and product reviews! This creates a lot of buzz and can gain you a great increase in sales.

Remember the rules of business everyone is a potential customer.
Don't be shy. Give a business card to everyone you run into.
If you make something wearable wear it yourself! You are a walking promotional billboard or can be. My children wear my products all the time.
Its the best advertising you can do. I also am a cosmetologist and in order to gain clients I have to look the part all the time. It really works.

Always confirm an order! Thank the customer and give them information on when it is coming to them. Even if its just general. With Etsy especially it can be very annoying not knowing if your sale has been recognized with a seller. Sometimes it can feel like you don't know if or when they will check on their shop. I always send a confirmation thank you and status. That is just good business and customer service is very important in all business.

Renew your items often. One during the day one during the evening. You have different crowds during different times looking on Etsy. If you only list during your free time in the day or at night and are not seeing sales. Its time to change it up!

Make sure your pictures are clear and bright! I have seen so many shops that have good items if I strain my eyes looking at it! Use editing sites such as:
Picnik
Picasa
BeFunky
Loonapix
Dumpr

Its a big job and takes daily work but they pay off in the end could be well worth it. Like anything in business it is what you put into it.

Best of Luck,
Kim
