Join social networks such as:

Make a Fanpage like the one you are currently viewing.

Do blogs and giveaways and product reviews! This creates a lot of buzz and can gain you a great increase in sales.

Remember the rules of business everyone is a potential customer.
Don't be shy. Give a business card to everyone you run into.
If you make something wearable wear it yourself! You are a walking promotional billboard or can be. My children wear my products all the time.
Its the best advertising you can do. I also am a cosmetologist and in order to gain clients I have to look the part all the time. It really works.

Always confirm an order! Thank the customer and give them information on when it is coming to them. Even if its just general. With Etsy especially it can be very annoying not knowing if your sale has been recognized with a seller. Sometimes it can feel like you don't know if or when they will check on their shop. I always send a confirmation thank you and status. That is just good business and customer service is very important in all business.

Renew your items often. One during the day one during the evening. You have different crowds during different times looking on Etsy. If you only list during your free time in the day or at night and are not seeing sales. Its time to change it up!

Make sure your pictures are clear and bright! I have seen so many shops that have good items if I strain my eyes looking at it! Use editing sites such as:
Picnik
Picasa
BeFunky
Loonapix
Dumpr

Its a big job and takes daily work but they pay off in the end could be well worth it. Like anything in business it is what you put into it.

Best of Luck,
Kim

Gmail Moms Personal Assistant!

Every mother at one point in time in her life thinks I need an assistant,a scheduler, receptionist, and of course maid! I have found something close and I would not be surprised if they found a way to clean my house next!

Gmail this email can do it all. It has an online calendar that is my life, with daily reminders and pop out options. It also has chat through gmail that your work cant see! It goes only through your email so its private. My hubby has gmail and so do I. We stay in contact all day. So if you or your spouse are blocked from downloading a chat format at work but can check your email well use gmail and you wont have to download anything at work. I could go on and on about gmail. That is a blog in itself. There are gmail documents to use already formatted for anything from letters to school to business proposals. There is now Google Voice. This is amazing stuff. It is a call forwarding system through your email. You can reroute anyone to your recorded voice mail box individualized by each number. I have one number now that I use for all emergency's and it automatically forwards to my cell, home and any other number I program it to. And to top that it also records the message. Both the speakers actual voice and the written message in my email!!!! Yes crazy I know! Plus it can call all long distance numbers for free through my email. Oh and if I don't want say that telemarketer to bother me I can pick up the phone here them talking and CHOOSE to listen without them knowing then send them to whatever voice mail I want. Maybe even one I have made up that tells them to take a leap.

It has options for labels so that I can store every possible thing from my kids sports to my online customers emails. I can quick find any email I need about my childrens events or whatnot. The following is a list of just a few more of the amazing features of gmail:

1.YouTube previews in mail
by Stanley C and Braden K

Shows a video preview whenever you receive a YouTube link in an email. You can watch the video right inline!

2. Picasa previews in mail

3. Flickr previews in mail
by Dan P

Shows photos previews whenever you receive a Flickr link in an email.

4.Google Voice player in mail
by Robert D

Lets you play voicemails left on your Google Voice account right from the email notification. This feature is so cool!

5.Google Voice player in mail
by Robert D

Lets you play voicemails left on your Google Voice account right from the email notification. Another purely amazing treat! And if your divorced no more he said she said its all right there! Invaluable.

6.Signature tweaks
by Keith C and Dave C

Places your signature before the quoted text in a reply, and removes the "--" line that appears before signatures.

&.Forgotten Attachment Detector
by Jonathan K

Prevents you from accidentally sending messages without the relevant attachments. Prompts you if you mention attaching a file, but forgot to do so.

Ok so there are so many more features of gmail that this blog entry could get a little boring to read! By now I think you get the drift! Its a must for everyone especially busy CEO moms like myself. Plus staying connected to your husband all day is valuable when your running around with a large family like passing ships!

Living on one income! Coupons !!

My name is Kim. I am a stay at home mother of 4 (14 months, 4, 8, and 12). I have a wonderful husband (who is helping me with this blog) who I love dearly. And lets not forget “Big Lazy” Saddy Hoss, our mastiff.

Our quest begins with my husband (should’ve been an accountant) wanting to save money. Actually, he was sick and tired of spending $600-$800 per month on groceries for our family. So I decided to help him out. One day about a year ago I was searching the web for ways to save money on your grocery bill. I, like everyone, am familiar with coupons. What I wasn’t familiar with is how to use them. After tons of research, help of other stay at home moms, and lots of practice we figured out how to pay pennies on the dollar for our groceries.

Our first successful attempt we purchased 12 packages of Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs, 20 Boxes of Kellogg’s Cereal, 4 jars of Miracle Whip, 4 boxes of Ritz crackers, and 4 bottles of Kraft Salad Dressing. Total before coupons and savings was about $78. We left the grocery store with all of this stuff only having to pay $17!!! It felt like we almost won the lottery. It was great. Since then we have been hooked. That is what we are here to do, help you have that same feeling and save tons of money.

Here is a list of some of the top coupon sites we could not do without!
Mommy Snacks http://mommysnacks.net/
Hotcouponworld http://hotcouponworld.com/
coupon.com http://print.coupons.com/CouponWeb/Offers.aspx?pid=13306&zid=iq37&nid=10

So now your wonder OK here is the sites now what? I don't have time for this lots of things run through your mind or your so enthusiastic your about to pee and cant wait to find out how this coupon stuff works! Well here is the the beginning to your new obsession.

1. Keep all coupon inserts from Sunday or anyday and mailings you have.
2. On the front of them in black marker on the front page write the month and day.
3. Get a binder. Load it with clear page protectors and slip each weeks in order that you save them as a whole into a page protector. This helps you tremendously when matching postings about coupons from other sites on the deals for the week.
4. Print all coupons from coupon.com that are available to you for the week.
5. Now there are a 1000 different websites that automatically match the deals in the ads for all the stores to the coupons available. One of our favorites is Mommy Snacks http://mommysnacks.net/ but there are more out there. (OK so your like this is too much! Its really not. Open a new window and look at her site.)
6. Ok so your getting the idea but you don't have that insert! Relax your just gettting started you can start now and being for the week of what you do have or you can go a little over the top and order whole inserts from old issues! Yeah crazy I know. Where? Coupons & Things by Dede http://www.couponsthingsbydede.com/?Click=2225. Missing a coupon or use an item more than other you can also order coupons for that item here!
7. So why would I pay to order a coupon to save 30 cents? Your not saving 30 cents.
You have begun 2 things what we in the coupon world call stockpiling! And your holding out to double that coupon with a matching printable coupon and a sale! That coupon ends up making the item nearly free or cheaper than you can imagine! And if you can do that for many items, ah yes your having a light bulb moment!
8. When you first start doing this you will get overwhelmed but when you go to check out hoping your not upsetting the people behind you and the check out guy with your many coupons and the 100 total drops to $68.42. You will be so happy you may freak out right there and scare the heck out of the haters behind you! And after a while you enjoy the envy of those behind you mocking your coupons. When you see their and the check out boys jaw drop!
9. You will have to check back more often for more on this because I have 4 kids and dinner is almost done.
10. GET BUSY~~
